Workshop with Drottningholms Barockensemble
Play with musicians from Drottningholms Barockensemble, and explore and learn how to search the Music and Theatre Library’s large collections. On 10 March, we are holding a workshop in Baroque music!
The Music and Theatre Library’s collections contain tons of musical scores from the eighteenth century that have never been performed in the modern era. There are original prints and manuscripts, scores from Sweden and elsewhere in Europe, and works by well-known and unknown composers. These musical treasures are just waiting to be discovered!
At the workshop, you will get to perform with musicians from Drottningholms Barockensemble, and learn more about the music, as well as the collections and how to search them.
Participants will also have the chance to perform with Drottningholms Barockensemble at a festive concert held at the Swedish Museum of Performing Arts on 11 March, with rehearsals beforehand.
On Friday evening, there will be a tour of the Swedish Museum of Performing Arts. You are also welcome to join us for a group dinner, at your own expense.
We look forward to seeing you on 10 March
