This volume is an appendix to Bernd Baselt’s three-volume Catalogue of George Frederick Handel’s works (HWV). It contains all the compositions attributed to the composer in the 18th century, most of which were previously unknown to researchers. Sponsored by the German Research Foundation, the authors examined and described compositions contained in over 400 manuscripts in Europe and further afield, following the philological principle of authenticity criticism
